New 4,500 SF Maverik Gas Station including site work, new fuel tanks, dispensers, concrete paving, asphalt, landscaping, etc.

Bid Form: Bids do not have to be submitted on the bid form, but must include the required breakouts.

Concrete contractors:

1. Light pole base details are shown on the Electrical site plan and must be included in the bid.

2. The interior building slab is a 5″ thick integral colored slab. The color is Baja Red by Davis Colors. The slab must be finished per the owners requirements found in the Pre-Bid Letter. The floor slab sawcutting layout is found in the Architectural plans.

Earthwork Subcontractors:

Fuel tank excavation must be included in your bids as a seperate line item (see bid form). This includes, excavation, backfill per the specificaiton, dewatering (if neccessary), and shoring (if neccessary). Details are available on the Fuel sheets.

Roofing Contractors:

Only the following roofing membrane products are acceptable:

Cameron was recently hired to be the Construction Manager and General Contractor of the rebuild of the Cottonwood Club in Salt Lake City. Cameron will be part of the design team working with the Cottonwood Club and the architects, EDA Architects. Construction is anticipated to begin in September and continue through most of 2013. The scope of work includes a new Club House Facility, Snack Bar, refurbishing of the tennis courts and swimming pool.

Maverik Convenience Store – West Valley City

Cameron Construction has started a new Maverik Convenience Store located in West Valley City, Utah. The new facility has fuel pumps with a 4500 SF retail store. The project will be completed in 115 days with very close coordination of subcontractors and vendors to complete the project on time and within budget. This project is unique by having the new store built behind the current facility that must remain operational and once the new store is completed the old one will be torn down to make room for the new fuel pumps.

Granite Education Foundation – Community Outreach

Cameron Construction strives to be good partners in our community as we outreach with non-profit organizations that provide services especially to children. Recently the Company supported the Granite Educational Foundation at their annual banquet. Bob Reed from Cameron hosted a table at this event where 10 of our friends joined him and his wife to participate in this event. Close to 900 people attend this fundraising event where items were auctioned off to support programs that the Granite Foundation supports.

John Cameron – Business Person of the Year

On January 26, 2012, the South Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce recognized John Cameron as their Business Person of the Year. It was noted at the Chamber’s annual meeting of John’s continued involvement in the business community, his volunteering in the community, and influence to the local construction industry. In accepting his award, John acknowledged that his accomplishments are due to the support of his family and his great employees.

John Cameron is still very active in Cameron Construction; however he has transitioned the ongoing management of Cameron Construction to his son, Kevin Cameron, and his partner, David Hill.
