St. John the Baptist Catholic Church

AWARD WINNER:  This 32,000 sq. foot church is constructed of 330 tons of steel, 730 cubic yards of concrete, split faced concrete masonry units and three colors of emperor size brick. Structural steel design for this project required extensive involvement between the architect, contractor, structural engineer and steel fabricator in order to make the design fully functional.

The 20,000 sq foot floor space in the Nave and Gathering area was stained concrete, which was applied in 3 phases. Accomplishing the staining process required careful scheduling because of the necessity in completing this procedure prior to the application of any other finishes. It was an extraordinary success.

Safety for students, faculty, visiting parents and workers was paramount in  project planning. No accidents occurred during this project – a perfect safety record.
